Sports & Fitness for exam years

“Would you encourage a friend to quit sports or hobbies if going through a stressful time at work?”

In fact you might do the opposite. Encouraging them back to sport or fitness would be a huge asset during a stressful work schedule.

What then should we say to our Leaving & Junior Cert students as they head back to the books this September? So many of these students give up their sports & fitness pursuits for the exam years. Of course time management is paramount. Long evenings down at the club might not be ideal but time exercising and the social aspect of sport will be invaluable. Exercise has been shown to improve concentration and aid study. A break from the books is healthy for mind and body.

Of course balance is critical but sport and exercise will be a great addition to any student under the stress of exams. Lets help our students balance these busy academic years.
