Colm, who is from Knockraha in Co Cork, studied physiotherapy at UL, graduating in 2007.
He then worked in private practice before joining Munster. He has a keen interest in sport, and plays hurling and football with Erins Own in Cork.
Playing either wing-forward or corner-forward he captained the Erins Own hurling squad in 2014 – they recently captured the Red FM Senior Hurling League.
