Victoria McMahon

Victoria graduated from the University of Limerick in 2015 with an Honors Degree in Physiotherapy and has full membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapist.

Victoria began her career in St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny completing various rotations in areas such as neurology / gerontology, respiratory / ICU, orthopedics and musculoskeletal outpatients. She gained experience in diagnosing, treating and managing a variety of conditions such as sports injuries, whiplash, fibromyalgia, low back pain, arthritis, planter fasciitis, repetitive strain, post-op rehabilitation, stroke rehab, falls/balance training and chronic pain.  It was during these three years Victoria developed her passion for Pilates and rehabilitation.

Victoria has completed post-graduate training in Dry Needling, Pilates and Exercise Prescription. She teaches Pilates on a one to one basis or in a class environment. These range from “foundation” level (for people with ongoing / recurrent pain) up to advanced level Pilates.

Victoria has a strong sporting interest. She has played Gaelic football for her native County Limerick both underage and at senior level. She has also represented Munster in soccer and played with Cork women’s FC in the Women’s National League. At present, Victoria is focusing her time on horses and in particular show-jumping. Having competed from young age she understands the physical demands placed on riders and jockeys and is therefore particularly adept at treating this population.

Victoria has strong beliefs in patient education and is fully committed in providing the most advanced and up to date care for her clients. She uses a combination of manual techniques, Pilates, deep tissue massage, trigger point dry needling and neural mobilisation to treat a wide range of conditions.
